<p>“I have met Sushant, interacted with him, he was a lovely boy, phenomenal talent, and absolute tragedy to lose him the way we did as an industry,” said Vivek Oberoi in an interview with Humans Of Bombay. If I’m being really honest, there is a pretty dark place in life that you can end yourself in when everything in your personal and professional life begins to go wrong at the same time. That is where I have been—on the verge of night. It’s not as if I haven’t considered what Sushant done.</p>
<p>Recounting the events leading up to Sushant Singh Rajput’s burial, Vivek Oberoi continued,</p>
<p>“The funeral drew twenty attendees. Count myself among them. “Buddy, if you had seen this scene, if you saw what this action would do to the people you love, you wouldn’t have taken this step,” was all I could think of as I stared at the father’s broken eyes in the rain. Consider the grief and pain you would feel if you had to terminate your life in front of the people who really love you. You want to save them any suffering.</p>
<p>Go into light and love, to those who really care about you. It will all come out, you will weep, and there will be catharsis. I was lucky to have a family and a house that support me throughout those difficult times. I sobbed and said, “Why is this happening to me?” as I sat on the floor and nestled my head in my mother’s lap like a newborn. After I sobbed for forty minutes, she replied, “Did you ever wonder why me, when you were winning all those awards and getting all the fame and love?””</p>
<p>Recently, Vivek Oberoi was seen in the Indian Police Force series on Amazon Prime Video. The web series is a spinoff of renowned police franchise director Rohit Shetty, which include movies like Sooryavanshi, Simmba, and Singham, among others. Among the impressive cast were Shilpa Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra, and Isha Talwar.</p>
