Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Hrithik Roshan

Fighter Review: In a video alerting the Indian Air Force, a small child speaking on behalf of the Jaish-e-Mohammed states, “Meri Jehad Azadi Ke Liye, Jab Tak Aap Yeh Video Dekh Rehe Honge, Main Jannat Ke Maze Lut Raha Honga.” a location in Jammu & Kashmir.

Meet the Air Dragons, a prestigious group of the Indian Air Force’s top pilots who have been tasked with guarding the country’s skies while preparing for a unique air attack operation. Daredevil officer Sq Leader Shamsher Pathania (played by Hrithik Roshan), often known as Patty, is a risk-taker and a maverick. Rakesh Jaisingh nicknamed Rocky (Anil Kapoor) leads Sq Leader Minal Rathore (Deepak Padukone), as Mimi, the only other woman in the corp, together with Taj (Karan Singh Grover) and Bash (Akshay Oberoi).

But when a convoy of cars carrying Indian security personnel is attacked in Pulwama, the Indian Force is taken off guard.

The mastermind behind earlier assaults from Istanbul to Kabul and 26/11 Mumbai, Azhar Akhtar, is quoted as saying, “Hindustan Ki Zameen Hum Hindustan Ke Logon se Barbad Karwayenge” by Rishabh Sawhney.

This establishes the narrative of Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, which takes place in 2023, a year after his box office smash hit Pathan.

The movie pays tribute to the Indian Air Force, but it also unmistakably calls to mind Tom Cruise’s hit 1986 picture Top Gun. The tale of Lt. Mitchell, often known as Maverick, a naval pilot who is offered a second shot at redemption while being plagued by demons from his past. Numerous cues are lifted from Maverick, the sequel to Top Gun. Maverick and Patty are quite similar personalities. Both of them are guys who bear the wounds from their past. Despite being the greatest in the industry, they follow no formalities and are lone rangers. In this situation, Patty and Rocky, they had a falling out. Rocky informs him that his ego will be the demise of him and his squad.

One thinks of Top Gun/Maverick, from the dog fighting scenes to Patty’s departure from the Air Warriors and her transfer to another base as an instructor.

Fighter, however, soars high on the patriotic feeling, saluting the valor of the Indian Armed Forces, which is long deserved, despite its resemblance to Top Gun. Fighter is a fast-paced commercial production that excels in execution, despite the rather corny jingoistic premise.

What hence functions for Fighter. Mr. Hrithik Roshan! With his striking on-screen persona aside, the actor is a genuine blue star who effortlessly dons his stripes. It’s his show all the way. The guy portraying the “Fighter,” a soldier who is devoted to his work, is credible in every way.

It’s remarkable to see Deepika Padukone return as Minal Rathore. Her portrayal emphasizes the fact that skills are not gender-based, particularly in light of the fact that women are engaging in battle in the Indian Forces.

Although we could have done away with some of the songs and the love narrative is a little implausible.

Fighter takes off and landings without incident, despite the fact that it looks like a desi version of Top Gun that is driven by adrenaline and nationalism.
